Micaela is a board-certified physician assistant. She received her bachelor's degree in Public Health and Health Sciences from Portland State University. She worked for several years as a medical scribe and phlebotomist before obtaining her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. She has since returned to Oregon and is grateful to call Bend home.
Micaela is passionate about providing accessible, compassionate, and inclusive primary care services. Her clinical and personal experiences have shown her how high quality primary care plays a crucial role in supporting individual, family, and community health. She believes in the value of preventative medicine, and in helping patients achieve optimal well-being by treating the whole person. Micaela hopes to help patients better understand their bodies and medical conditions, so they can make informed choices leading to healthier living. Her ambition is to treat patients the same way that she would want her loved ones to be treated when they seek medical attention - with an integrative approach of quality and kindness.
When not caring for patients, Micaela loves to spend her time outdoors (hiking, kayaking, camping), reading, cooking, and spending time with her family, friends, and adorable dog Coco.
